Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 1, 2026 · Last Updated: October 8, 2026
This privacy notice for Giggles Platforms, Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your information when you use our services ("Services"). By using our Services, or by accessing our website at usegiggles.com or any website of ours that links to this privacy notice, you are accepting and consenting to this Privacy Policy.
1. What Information Do We Collect?
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:
- Your Name and username
- Your Email
- Your Phone Number
- Your Date of Birth (collected at signup, or when we ask existing users to confirm it), used to determine which features you can access
- Profile information such as your photo and bio
- Content you create or upload, including videos, images, audio, captions, comments, reposts, remixes, and prompts you enter into AI features
- Livestream activity, including chat messages and likes you send in a livestream, gifts you send or receive, Aura you stake in livestream battles, and requests you make to join a battle
- A school email address, if you choose to link one, which we use to identify your school or college
- Social Media User Names for any accounts you link to the Services.
- Financial Information, including information that you provide us about cryptocurrency wallets and payments, and records of your purchases, deposits, withdrawals, subscriptions, and in-app transactions
- Creator payout information, if you choose to withdraw earnings. Payouts are handled by Stripe, which collects the identity, bank account, and tax information it needs directly from you under its own privacy policy; we receive your payout account status and records of your earnings and withdrawals
- Information from social media accounts that you use to log in to the services.
- Messages you send to us, including support conversations
Contacts (Invite Friends). If you choose to invite friends, the app asks for permission to access your device's address book so it can show your contacts' names and phone numbers on your device and let you pick who to invite. Your contacts are not uploaded to our servers. Invitations are sent as text messages from your own device, using your phone's messaging app, and only to the people you choose. We do not use your contacts for marketing and do not sell them. You can decline the permission, or revoke it at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Contacts.
Information automatically collected
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
In our iOS app, automatically collected information also includes:
- Usage and event data. Which screens you view, taps and interactions, searches, purchases, and the outcome of permission prompts, collected through our analytics provider (PostHog).
- Session recordings. For a sample of sessions, PostHog captures periodic screenshots of the app screens you use, along with your taps and navigation, so we can find bugs and improve the design. Chat, payment and withdrawal screens, and profile editing are masked and are not captured. Recordings are used only for these purposes.
- Watch-time data. For each post you view, we record when you started and stopped watching and how much of it you watched, so we can rank content, calculate creator rewards, and improve recommendations.
- Screenshot events. When you take a screenshot inside the app, we record which screen was captured. We do not receive the screenshot image itself.
- Device and integrity data. Device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, push notification token, IP address, an install identifier stored in your device's keychain (which can persist if you reinstall the app), and device attestation results (Apple App Attest), used to confirm requests come from a genuine copy of our app on a genuine device and to prevent duplicate or automated accounts.
- Saved accounts. If you add more than one account to the app, the sign-in tokens for each account are stored in your device's keychain so you can switch between them.
- Link safety checks. When a message you send or receive contains a link, we may check that link against reputation services to warn about spam, scams, or malicious sites.
- Fraud-prevention signals. Device and behavioral signals processed by our fraud-prevention provider (NSure) when you make purchases, deposits, or withdrawals.
Device permissions. The app may ask for the following permissions, each of which you can decline or later change in your device settings: Photos (to choose photos and videos to post or send, and to save videos you download to your camera roll); Camera and Microphone (to record and create content and to send voice messages); Speech Recognition (to generate live captions, processed on your device); Contacts (only if you invite friends, as described above); Tracking (as described in Section 6); and Notifications (to send push notifications, which you can turn off at any time).
Camera effects. Our in-app camera uses Snap's Camera Kit to provide lenses and filters, some of which respond to the position of faces in the camera view. This processing happens on your device to render the effect in real time. We do not collect or store face geometry or create a template that could identify you, and Snap receives technical and usage information about lens use under its own privacy policy.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.
2. SMS Communications and Mobile Information
If you provide your mobile phone number through our Services (including via our iOS app waitlist), you may receive SMS text messages from Giggles related to your account, including waitlist invitations, verification codes, and other account notifications. SMS consent is not a condition of purchasing or using any of our Services.
Message Frequency. You will receive a limited number of messages (typically 1–3 during the waitlist lifecycle). Message frequency varies depending on your activity.
Message and Data Rates. Standard message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier's plan.
Opt-out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or OPTOUT to any message. Reply HELP for help, or email support@giggles.me.
Sharing of Mobile Information. No mobile information, phone numbers, opt-in data, or consent will be shared with, sold to, or distributed to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be shared with service providers (such as SMS delivery vendors) solely to facilitate the delivery of SMS messages on our behalf, and these service providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
3. How Do We Process Your Information?
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

- To fulfill and manage your orders. We may process your information to fulfill and manage your orders, payments, returns, and exchanges made through the Services.
- To enable user-to-user communications. We may process your information if you choose to use any of our offerings that allow for communication with another user.
- To request feedback. We may process your information when necessary to request feedback and to contact you about your use of our Services.
- To personalize your experience. We use your activity, including watch-time data, to rank and recommend content and creators, and to decide what to show you.
- To operate the in-app economy. We process your information to credit Aura and other rewards, run streaks and referrals, process purchases, deposits, and withdrawals, apply gifting and trading limits, and keep records of in-app transactions.
- To run livestreams. We process your information to show livestreams, deliver chat and likes, run battles and settle Aura staked on them, deliver gifts, and moderate livestream activity.
- To pay creators. If you withdraw earnings, we share the amount and your payout account with Stripe so it can verify your identity and send the payment, and we keep records of your earnings and payouts.
- To protect our Services. We may process your information as part of our efforts to keep our Services safe and secure, including fraud monitoring and prevention, device attestation, detecting duplicate or automated accounts, and enforcing our Terms of Use.
- To verify age and eligibility. We use your date of birth to confirm you meet our minimum age of 13 and to restrict real-money withdrawals to users 18 and older.
- To provide AI features. Prompts and content you submit to AI features are sent to our AI service providers to generate the requested output.
- To identify usage trends. We may process information about how you use our Services to better understand how they are being used so we can improve them.
- To determine the effectiveness of our marketing and promotional campaigns. We may process your information to better understand how to provide marketing and promotional campaigns that are most relevant to you.
- To save or protect an individual's vital interest. We may process your information when necessary to save or protect an individual's vital interest, such as to prevent harm.
4. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?
We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents ("third parties") who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. We have contracts in place with our third parties, which are designed to help safeguard your personal information. This means that they cannot do anything with your personal information unless we have instructed them to do it. They will also not share your personal information with any organization apart from us. They also commit to protect the data they hold on our behalf and to retain it for the period we instruct.
The categories of third parties we currently share information with include:
- Infrastructure and authentication: Supabase (account authentication), Cloudflare (hosting and media storage), Google and Apple (sign-in, if you choose to use them).
- Analytics: PostHog (product analytics, event tracking, and session recordings).
- Advertising measurement: TikTok and Meta (attribution and ad-performance events, as described in Section 6).
- In-app advertising: Google AdMob and the ad networks it works with through mediation, currently Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) and Pangle, which serve the ads shown in the app, including rewarded ads you choose to watch (as described in Section 6).
- Camera and content tools: Snap (Camera Kit lenses and filters) and Giphy (GIF search).
- Push notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google), which receives your device push token.
- Customer support: Intercom (in-app and email support conversations, including replies from Intercom's AI support agent).
- Fraud prevention and device integrity: NSure and Apple App Attest.
- Payments and digital assets: Apple (in-app purchases and subscriptions), Coinflow, Coinbase Onramp, MoonPay, Transak, and Stripe (including Stripe Connect for creator payouts). These providers may collect identity, payment, and transaction information directly from you under their own privacy policies, and availability varies by region.
- AI providers: third-party model providers that process prompts and content you submit to AI features.
We may also share information when required by law or legal process; to enforce our Terms of Use; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Giggles, our users, or others; in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets; and with your consent or at your direction (for example, content you post publicly or share with other users).
Content you share with other users. Your username, profile, posts, comments, and public activity (such as rankings) are visible to other users. Videos other users download from the app are watermarked with your handle.
5. What Is Our Stance on Third-Party Websites?
The Services may link to third-party websites, online services, or mobile applications and/or contain advertisements from third parties that are not affiliated with us and which may link to other websites, services, or applications. The Services may also include information obtained from third-party websites or sources. Accordingly, we do not make any guarantee regarding any such third parties or their data, and we will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by the use of such third-party websites, services, or applications. The inclusion of a link towards (or presentation of data relating to) a third-party website, service, or application does not imply an endorsement by us. We cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of data you provide to any third parties. Any data collected by third parties is not covered by this privacy notice. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other websites, services, or applications that may be linked to or from the Services. You should review the policies of such third parties and contact them directly to respond to your questions.
6. Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information.
Analytics and advertising partners. Our iOS app includes software development kits ("SDKs") provided by third parties that help us understand how the app is used and measure the performance of our advertising. These currently include TikTok and Meta (advertising measurement and attribution), PostHog (product analytics and session recordings), Firebase (push notifications and app configuration), Intercom (support), Snap Camera Kit (camera effects), and NSure (fraud prevention). Through these SDKs, those providers may receive device and usage information — including device identifiers such as Apple's Identifier for Advertisers ("IDFA"), the events you trigger in the app (for example installing the app, creating an account, or completing a purchase), and general technical information about your device.
In-app ads. Our iOS app shows ads served by Google AdMob and its mediation partners, currently Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) and Pangle. To select, deliver, limit how often you see, and measure those ads, and to prevent ad fraud, these providers may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking), your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before ads are personalized. When you finish watching a rewarded ad, Google confirms this to our servers so we can credit your reward. To learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
App Tracking Transparency. On iOS, we ask for your permission before tracking you across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you decline, we do not use the IDFA to track you for advertising purposes, and ad measurement falls back to Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork, which does not identify you. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking on your device, and you can limit ad personalisation more broadly in your device settings.
These providers process this information under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We do not control how they use information they collect directly from your device.
7. How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?
Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using your third-party social media account details. Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider. The profile information we receive may vary depending on the social media provider concerned, but will often include your name, email address, friends list, and profile picture, as well as other information you choose to make public on such a social media platform.
We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this privacy notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant Services. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy notice to understand how they collect, use and share your personal information, and how you can set your privacy preferences on their sites and apps.
8. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
9. Do We Collect Information from Minors?
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. We collect your date of birth at signup (and may ask existing users to confirm it) to enforce this. Users aged 13 to 17 may use the Services, including in-app purchases with the involvement of a parent or guardian, but cannot withdraw real money (such as cashing out creator earnings or withdrawing a legacy digital asset balance), which is restricted to users 18 and older.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, or that a user under 18 has withdrawn or attempted to withdraw real money, we will disable the account or the relevant features and take reasonable steps to promptly delete the associated data from our records. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at support@giggles.me.
10. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
11. Do California Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?
If you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.
If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with Services, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Services. To request removal of such data, please contact us using the contact information provided below and include the email address associated with your account and a statement that you reside in California. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on the Services, but please be aware that the data may not be completely or comprehensively removed from all our systems (e.g., backups, etc.).
We may also collect other personal information outside of these categories in instances where you interact with us in person, online, or by phone or mail in the context of:
- Receiving help through our customer support channels;
- Participation in customer surveys or contests; and
- Facilitation in the delivery of our Services and to respond to your inquiries.
You may contact us by email at support@giggles.me or by referring to the contact details at the bottom of this document.
If you are using an authorized agent to exercise your right to opt out we may deny a request if the authorized agent does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf.
Will your information be shared with anyone else?
We may disclose your personal information with our service providers pursuant to a written contract between us and each service provider. Each service provider is a for-profit entity that processes the information on our behalf, following the same strict privacy protection obligations mandated by the CCPA.
We may use your personal information for our own business purposes, such as for undertaking internal research for technological development and demonstration. This is not considered to be "selling" of your personal information.

Verification process
Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system. These verification efforts require us to ask you to provide information so that we can match it with information you have previously provided us. For instance, depending on the type of request you submit, we may ask you to provide certain information so that we can match the information you provide with the information we already have on file, or we may contact you through a communication method (e.g., phone or email) that you have previously provided to us. We may also use other verification methods as the circumstances dictate.
We will only use personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. To the extent possible, we will avoid requesting additional information from you for the purposes of verification. However, if we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity and for security or fraud-prevention purposes. We will delete such additionally provided information as soon as we finish verifying you.
